Hey guys, Today, we're going to answer a question that many of you might have: when to wear a three-piece suit. I'm going to focus on when to wear it.
Back in the day, the purpose of a three-piece suit was to keep you warm. The extra article of clothing kept the trunk of your body warm. It was commonly used by people who rode horses, providing them with extra warmth. Over time, the use of the three-piece suit transitioned. People with lower incomes began to change the look of their suits by adding or changing their vests. This was a cost-effective way to refresh their attire. My brother's video explains how to change the look of your suit by altering the vest.
Nowadays, a three-piece suit is used for a more formal look. It's the most formal attire you can wear in the business world. As you can see, I look very formal. If I were to take this vest off, the suit would look more business professional, but with the vest on, I appear more put together and formal. It's not appropriate if you're just working in an office, as a teacher, or in a less formal role. It's simply too formal for those environments. However, if you're in a more professional role, such as an executive, a boss, or a lawyer, this look gives you an imposing image. Your employees or colleagues will see you as a leader. You automatically look formal, well put together, and very imposing.
I'm wear a three-piece suit from an online made-to-measure clothier called Matthew Apari. I'm very happy with this suit. I didn’t make any changes to it; I'm wearing it just as I received it. I love the fit. While the fabric quality is not impressive—it is a $300 suit, after all—you get what you pay for. The fit, however, is beyond what I can get off the rack or even from many other online clothiers. I really love the fit and didn’t need any alterations, which is unusual for me with other suits.
